I’m pumped to be speaking to the students in Columbia’s Narrative Medicine Journalism Workshop as part of their Dialogues on Medical Journalism tomorrow night.

The program is FREE and open to the public, and you can register for it here.

The Narrative Medicine Journalism Workshop is for Columbia University health professionals and trainees who want to learn how to write and report about health subjects for regular media. I’ll be talking about how I pivoted from a career in clinical medicine and public health to full-time journalism.

Anyone and everyone is welcome, and I think this will be particularly interesting to people in the medicine and public health world trying to find a public voice. There are lots of you out there. The world needs to hear what you have to say. There’s help and support for getting your voice out into the world.

I hope you can come, but if you can’t, fear not — there’ll be a full recap on here to follow.
